Gina used to work as a house helper for an affluent family in the city.

One day, she fell in love with a carpenter, and he promised her she would stop drinking too much. He kept the promise.

Gina now lives in her home village with her husband and daughter. On a daily basis, she looks after their animals and makes sure there is enough drinking water for everyone. She is collaborating with us in making nostalgic upcycled tote bags like Tapulanga and Tumbak-tumbak.
